Marlin Windows is proud to be supplying bespoke aluminium glazing for an extraordinary Grand Designs water tower conversion in Northamptonshire.
The ambitious project is transforming a 20-metre-high former water tower into a unique family home, complete with curved walls, secret rooms, a swimming pool, sky garden and spectacular panoramic views.

October 2026 Update: Water Tower Window Installation
Adam is making fantastic progress on the water tower transformation! 🔨👏
The new steel-style window frames are taking shape, with Adam carefully fitting and securing each section to create that striking industrial look.
All his hard work is starting to pay off, and the transformation is really coming together!
August 2026 Update: Preparing for Phase 2 of the Full-Height Aluminium Glazing
Work is progressing on this incredible Grand Designs Water Tower conversion in Northamptonshire, with the concrete cut-outs now being prepared for Phase 2 of our Sheerline Classic full-height window installation.
This is certainly no ordinary home — and with the project set to feature on Grand Designs, we’re excited to be playing our part in such an ambitious transformation.
The new full-height aluminium glazing will make a huge difference to the tower, bringing natural light into the building while creating some spectacular views from this unique structure.

June 2026 Update: 8-Metre-High Aluminium Windows
A major milestone will soon be reached on this incredible Grand Designs Water Tower conversion in Northamptonshire with the installation of five huge 8-metre-high aluminium windows to the main centre section of the tower.
Designed to flood the internal spaces with natural light while framing spectacular panoramic views, the bespoke aluminium glazing perfectly complements the industrial heritage of the tower, creating a striking blend of modern architecture and historic character.
These impressive glazed elevations will bring the design vision to life and showcase the scale of this unique Grand Designs build.

November 2025 Update: Sheerline Windows and Doors Enter Production
Phase 1 of our Grand Designs Water Tower, Northamptonshire project is now entering production. The initial stage for this esteemed and ambitious development will focus on the fabrication and fitting of our Sheerline Classic doors alongside Sheerline Prestige feature windows.
