This box is for your required door width and height.

If your overall frame height is 2,500mm (2.5m) then we would recommend a door height of 2,100mm (2.1m).

Don’t forget to include a fitting tolerance in your overall measurement! 10mm is usually sufficient off the width and height, for example, an opening size of 1,800mm (1.8m) x 2,500mm (2.5m) your frame size will need to be 1,790mm x 2,490mm.

Top light ⓘ

This box is for your top light height. If you have an overall frame height of 2,500mm (2.5m), we would recommend a top light height of 400mm (in-conjunction with a 2,100mm high door).

Don’t forget to include a fitting tolerance in your overall measurement! 10mm is usually sufficient off the width and height, for example, an opening size of 1,800mm (1.8m) x 2,500mm (2.5m) your frame size will need to be 1,790mm x 2,490mm.

Master Door ⓘ

The master door is the door which you will operate first. All items are viewed externally so if you are stood in your garden, looking at the doors, the master door (the one with the handle on), will either be on the left or the right hand side.

Opening ⓘ

The doors open outwards, i.e. into your garden.

Trickle Vents ⓘ

Trickle vents are a form of background ventilation.
The trickle vents will be placed at the top of the frame in an additional 42mm profile (included in your overall height).
Trickle vents must comply with the Building Regulations’ Approved Document F (2022).

Add Ons ⓘ

Add ons are used to aid with internal and external finishing. The Heritage system is very slim and only 33mm wide.

If you are plasterboarding on the inside and/or cladding on the outside then we would recommend taking the frames with add ons to the sides and the top (don’t forget, if you require trickle vents then you already have an add on included to the top).

An add on can also be used instead of a projection cill if you require a flush threshold detail.

Glass specifications ⓘ

Double glazing is included as standard.
Laminated glass – this can be chosen if you require increased security.
Triple glazing – this can be chosen if you require increased thermal performance.

Handles ⓘ

Standard handles in black are included.
There are two upgradable options (pictured to the left) – these are available in Antique Brass, Aged Brass & Satin Nickel Plate.

Security upgrade ⓘ

Multipoint locking and Avocet anti-snap cylinders are included as standard.
PAS24 locking is also available for increased security.
