C system – magnetic control

The C system, designed with the rotational, frontal, magnetic control for raising and tilting a blind integrated within a double-glazed unit, utilises the force produced by two coupled, rotational, magnetic devices.

One set of magnets is inserted in the blind head rail within the cavity and the other applied to the external glass surface.

This magnet principle does not compromise the unit seal and guarantees the perfect integrity of the double-glazing unit. Bifold Doors With Integral Blinds

Integral bifold blinds offer a sleek, modern solution for light control and privacy, seamlessly built between the glass for a hassle-free, low-maintenance finish.

SV system – Cordless slider

The ScreenLine® SL20SV system is a manually operated sliding Venetian blind which features a single, cleverly designed magnetic slider to control the whole operation.

Positioned on a narrow slide guide on the edge of the sealed unit, this allows the blind to be raised, lowered and tilted with ease completely cord free. Bifold Doors With Integral Blinds

S system – Slider

The ScreenLine® SL20S is a manual system comprising a 14mm pleated blind integrated within a double-glazed unit with 20mm cavity. Bifold Doors With Integral Blinds

The blind movement is achieved by a magnetic device positioned centrally on the outer surface of the internal pane sliding across the glass surface.

This external magnet interfaces with a similar internal magnet located in the movable rail and it is so designed to absorb possible glass deflections.

What are built-in integral blinds, and how do they work?

Built-in integral blinds are Venetian blinds sealed within the double-glazed unit of bifold doors or windows. They are operated using magnetic systems that allow you to raise, lower and tilt the blinds without compromising the unit’s seal. We offer several operation systems, including the C system (rotational magnetic control), SV system (cordless slider), and S system (manual slider), all utilising ScreenLine® technology.

What are the benefits of choosing integral blinds over traditional blinds?

Integral blinds offer several advantages:

  • Low Maintenance: Being sealed within the glass unit, they remain dust-free and never require cleaning.

  • Enhanced Privacy and Light Control: They provide adjustable shading and privacy without obstructing views.

  • Thermal Efficiency: They help control temperature and reduce solar gain.

  • Aesthetic Appeal: They offer a sleek, modern look without external cords or fittings.

  • Safety: Cordless operation makes them safer for homes with children and pets.

These features make integral blinds a stylish and practical choice for modern homes.

Can integral blinds be installed in existing bifold doors or windows?

Integral blinds require a sealed glazing unit with a cavity of at least 20mm. They can be fitted within any door or window that meets this specification. However, retrofitting them into existing units may not be feasible. It’s best to consult with us to assess your specific situation and determine the most suitable solution.
